Philips Global Kickoff 2025
Uniting 50,000 Employees Worldwide in a Seamless Virtual Event
Introduction
In early November 2024, our partner Ready Set Studios approached us to co-produce an exciting new project for Philips: their global all-hands kickoff event. Titled IMPACT25, this event aimed to inspire and inform Philips employees worldwide, setting the tone for the year ahead. For 90 minutes, the attention of the entire company would be focused on a live broadcast from the TV studio in Amsterdam.
Engaging a virtual audience
Unlike traditional broadcasts, IMPACT25 was designed to prioritize audience engagement through the massive, permanently installed LED screen at Ready Set Studios. 200 virtual audience members from across the globe dialed in to actively participate, while only 80 in-person attendees joined from Philipsâ head office, just a few streets away. The rest of the 50.000 worldwide audience watched the livestream broadcast from their offices and homes. This hybrid approach allowed for global participation without the usual costs and carbon footprint of an international event.
Leveraging Microsoft Teams, we established several virtual attendance links across Philipsâ network. With thorough briefings sent to participants beforehand, we ensured smooth integration of virtual engagement. Once live, the audience used features like emoji reactions to enhance the immersive atmosphere, with their support displayed prominently on the LED screenâmaking it a memorable and highly interactive experience for everyone involved.
Camera platform
Part of the challenge to Stream My Event was advancing the camera platforms for this project. Because of the pixel density and distances to the screen on this setup, cinematic cameras and high-end lenses would have to be used for the project to prevent moiré patterns. A lot of modifications had to be made to allow the complete package to work successfully in a high-end broadcast environment, but the result was a visually stunning production that maintained sharpness and clarity throughout, even on large screens. The modifications ensured smooth integration with the broadcast system, and the use of high-end lenses eliminated visual artifacts, providing a professional and immersive viewing experience.

A day to be proud of
Philips, a globally recognized and deeply rooted Dutch company, is dedicated to improving lives worldwide. As a small company with a tight-knit team, being entrusted to support the Philips team for even just a 90-minute broadcast was an immense honor. It was a milestone moment for us, showcasing the quality and dedication we strive to deliver.
Leslie McGibbon, Head of Communication & Brand at Philips, summed it up perfectly when he shared this with our team after the event:
âSimply put you were awesome â not just what you did but how you did it â we took a risk because we knew we had high calibre partners to help us manage the challenge â you did that with bells on!! Brilliant job and we could not be more pleased with the impact!â
